One of my favorite TV shows is having a dream home sweepstakes and of course, I enter every day. "Why," you ask? Because I LOVE entering contest and sweepstakes even though I know the chances of me winning are next to none, but I do it anyway. As they say, "you can't win if you don't play!"
My husband and I were having a discussion ~ you know the kind where you dream and say, what if ~ that on the very rare chance we did win this dream home...we would NEVER want to move to Utah where it is located so then what?
This probably sounds crazy but we're just not "Utah-kind-of-people" meaning that's just W-A-Y to far from friends and family to suit us. I agree that Utah is a beautiful state and I would love to visit but not live there.
When we have our "what if" discussions we are always in agreement about one thing. That we never want to win a huge jackpot. We DO NOT want that responsibility. We've seen far to many people who have struck it rich and their lives fall apart in a big way ~ example Jack Whittaker, $315 million dollar powerball winner in 2002 (google him if you're not sure.)
To have enough money to be able to get out of debt and retire comfortably is just fine with us but we all know that money isn't everything. I think most of us, if we had to, would choose the love of God, friends, family, good health, and a happy life over money any day of the week ~ or at least I would!
