I wish politicians had to work for minimum wage or had to fight to stay in their homes or had to live from paycheck to paycheck or had to live off a fixed income like most of us have to do ~ because then and only then things might start to change in Washington.
They "pretend" to care about us and our issues but all they really care about is the power that comes from being in office and the "inside scoops" they get about investing and making money.

I don't feel bad for the folks who are losing their homes due to the fact that they knowingly purchased more than they could afford or the folks who don't know how to handle their money well, rather I feel bad for the folks who did everything right but fell on hard times due to medical bills, a layoff or job cut or any other unforeseen circumstances.

Politicians can "talk-the-talk" but rarely do they "walk-the-walk". Speaking from my point of view I just think we need to clean house in Washington and get rid of all of them. It doesn't matter what political party you're affiliated with because they all - to some degree - are hypocrites...some just more than others.

Let them live in the real world ~ aka our world ~ and try to be honest, ethical, hard-working, upstanding, and support a family, while not having any health insurance, living from paycheck to paycheck not having enough money left over after payday to invest or save and see how well they like it.  I guarantee you would see things change in Washington faster than you could blink an eye.
