To All Animal Lovers

I'll try to put this as gently as possible for all of you pet lovers.
I know I'm probably extremely out numbered when it comes to pets because I'm NOT an animal lover and I never have been. However, I know there are millions of you who are and who love and adore your pets and I think that's great!

But...just because you love and adore your pets doesn't mean the next person feels the same way. Not everyone is a pet lover and wants to see your pet or be licked or jumped on by your dog or have cat fur all over them. You may see, and treat, your pet as a member of your family, and that's fine, but I see it as a nuisance, an expense and a pest.

When I'm taking a walk through the park, my subdivision or anywhere, I should not be fearful of a dog coming after me. I should be able to walk in peace and not have to worry and always be fearful and looking behind me. Some people think their pets are loved by everyone and that's just not the case.

I NEVER want to see animals being abused or mistreated and with that being said, maybe it will help you to understand why I have NO pets and why I'll NEVER have any pets. Why should I?
Knowing how I feel about them I would not take care of them so it would be cruel to own them. It makes more sense for me not to have something that I know I wouldn't take care of.

So, don't hate me because I'm NOT an animal lover rather respect my decision NOT to own one. Here again...it's just common sense.
